Okay, I know this is my second post, and this post will reveal a lot of things about myself. So, my friend group and I go on vacation together at least once a year, to a nice little village somewhere in the mountains. And since we all love board games and TTRPGs, some of us do us the honour of preparing a one evening session of their current favourite TTRPG, think Dungeons & Dragons, but also other, less well-known games like Lancer or Call of Cthulhu....

A love letter for learning (in public)

Learning new things can be hard. What makes it fun is sharing the newly acquired knowledge with others, trying to verbalise the matter, and simplify it. Even better: collaboratively learning concepts even deepens our understanding of them. But this could be achieved without adding to the infinite content of the Internet. If I use my favourite search engine to look for an explanation of a mathematical theorem I came across, or an installation guide for some weird new software I want to try out, nine times out of ten (figuratively speaking) it is always the small, user-generated content that is the most useful....
